# Pricelight: Discount Display

> A Shopify app by Northlight Apps that shows shoppers the real checkout price of a store's automatic discounts on product pages, collection pages and search results, before they reach the cart.

## The problem it solves
Shopify applies automatic discounts (for example "20% off a collection" or "buy 3, save 30%") only in the cart and at checkout. Product and collection pages keep showing the full price, so shoppers often never learn about the discount.

## What it does
- Crosses out the list price and shows the discounted checkout price with a savings badge (for example "Save $139.99 (20%)").
- Shows quantity deals under the price ("Buy 3, pay $489.97 each").
- Works on collection pages and search results (Pro plan).
- Uses Shopify's own cart pricing (Storefront API, temporary cart in the shopper's browser), so prices match the cart in every Shopify Markets currency.
- Installs as a theme app embed: no theme code edits, nothing added to checkout, no shopper data stored.

## Limits
- Code discounts cannot be shown before the shopper types the code.
- Discounts limited to customer segments, B2B catalogs or logged-in customers are not shown.
- Cart-wide discounts (for example "10% off orders over $100") are shown only when the product alone qualifies.
- Works with Online Store 2.0 themes; unusual themes may need a one-line price selector (support helps).

- Pro: US$4.99/month or US$39/year, 7-day free trial; adds collection pages, search results and quantity deals.
